Botox + Dysport
Botox®️ and Dysport®️ are used to relax the muscles that cause frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, and other overactive muscles.
Wondering what makes them different? Here’s the scoop:
- Dysport diffuses to a wider area, making it beneficial when correcting issues such as forehead wrinkles or crow’s feet. Botox, on the other hand, is better in areas with thicker muscles, such as between your eyebrows, and smaller areas where more precision is needed.
- Dysport typically has a quicker onset than Botox: with Dysport, you should see results in 2 – 5 days, while Botox takes about 4 – 7 days to see results. Both products fully set in at 2 weeks and last for 3 – 4 months.
- They’re reconstituted differently, which changes the dosage level. For example, 20 units of Botox equates to about 50 units of Dysport—making the pricing actually pretty similar!
In most cases, choosing Botox or Dysport is a personal preference. Whichever one you choose is up to you! Most of our patients can’t tell a difference between the two products. But don’t worry—we’ll go over all of your options in a consultation.
