Yes, it can be slightly uncomfortable. The sensation during treatment is said to feel like a warm rubber band snap against the skin followed by residual heat in the treated area. A topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment to help minimize pain.

Treatments depend on the skin type, type of lesion, and other individual factors. Generally, pigmentation, vascular lesions, and skin retexturing require 4-6 treatments about 3-5 weeks apart. After the courses of treatment are completed many conditions require maintenance treatments annually.

The treatment corrects pigmentation irregularities, broken capillaries, redness due to rosacea, fine lines, acne scars, and uneven texture and skin tone.

Full results will be seen in 3 months.

After each treatment, you will have some swelling for a few hours followed by 1-2 days of redness.
